Where Did The Time Go?

It was Gerry Rafferty and baby burgers, looking out a car window.

An orange Royal Castle take-out, or pick-up.

How would I know? I must have been tiny.

It was the 70’s.

Cartoons and a fast-moving world.

Where did the time go?

It was later I learned:

“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” —James 4:14

Teach us to number our days, Lord. Draw us to know You.

And … thank You for breath. Thank You for lessons.

Thank You for grace. Thank You for mercy.

Thank You for hope. Thank You for offering a Way.

Thank You for an ice-cold Grovewood Pool, friends to play with, hot dogs and hamburgers, and bottle-rockets and bomb pops.
